Construction on a luxurious Cotton Tree apartment block is due to start in the coming weeks with only one of the apartments left on the market.

The project called Nature by Cube Developments was approved by council in July and 11 out of 12 apartments have already been snapped up by eager buyers who spent a total of $39m since August.

The off-plan sales included an “enormous” penthouse which sold for $7m, a record price for developer Scott Juniper’s portfolio.

“Nature will be home to some of the most luxurious apartments the Sunshine Coast has seen and we believe National Construction Management has the capabilities and track record to deliver on this,” Mr Juniper said.

The apartments have a bespoke nature with some buyers choosing to amalgamate whole floors to customise their own dream home.

The Cotton Tree development was originally pinned for 13 residences set over eight-storeys, but dropped to 12 following the creation of a six-bedroom “mega apartment”.

The last standing apartment of the 12 is priced at $3.5m, but isn’t expected to stay on the market long.

Designed by Cottee Parker, Nature includes resort-style amenities like a 25m lap pool, gym, steam room and spa, green spaces and sun lounging areas.

Director at Cottee Parker Sandra Browne said the quality of architecture far exceeds what is offered in the surrounding market.

“We wanted to deliver a product that stood out amongst the crowd in terms of amenity, as well as being of a higher architectural spec and with an unrivalled, premium aesthetic,” Ms Browne said.

“The expansiveness of the openglass facade and viewing speaks to a quality of architecture that exceeds what is offered in the surrounding market.”

Construction on Nature by Cube is scheduled to be complete by 2023.
